Shuzo Shiota

Japan  |  Polygon Pictures Inc CEO
Raised in the United States and is a graduate of the Sophia University Faculty of Law, Department of International Legal Studies.
 After joining the Nippon Steel Corporation from 1991, and then he participated in the launch of Dream Pictures Studio in 1997. Moved to Polygon Pictures Inc in 2003 assumed the position of President and CEO.
Spearheaded efforts to cultivate Polygon’s overseas presence, helping the studio to become a leading developer of TV series and content targeted at the foreign market.
Served as a judge at major Japanese and international film festivals including Prix Ars Electronica (AUS) and SIGGRAPH (U.S.). Selected as one of the “25 Toon Titans of Asia” by popular industry publication Animation Magazine in 2008.
 Presided as a judge at the 2016 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Koichi Noguchi

Japan  |  Producer and VFX supervisor of Toei Animation


Born 1965 in Gifu, Japan.  Join Toyo Links (currently IMAGICA Lab) in 1989, join TOPIX (Toronto, Canada) in 1993.  From 1995, studied under Richard Edlund at Boss Film Studios (Los Angeles, USA).  In charge of VFX for the films “Species” (1995), “Waterworld” (1995), and “Air Force One” (1997).  As a VFX supervisor of Toei Animation, his works include “Yamato” (2005), “Digimon Savers” (2006), “Happy Flight” (2008), “Hayabusa Harukanaru Kikan” (2012), “Katsuben” (2019).  As a producer, his works include “Expelled from Paradise” (2014) and “Kado: The Right Answer” (2017).  Member of Japan Society of Image Arts and Sciences, Japan Society for Animation Studies, and Visual Effects Society.  Doctor of Social and Cultural Studies.

Li-Wei Chiu

Taiwan  |  Animation film director
Li-Wei Chiu is graduated from Tainan National University of the Arts and PH.D of Beijing Film Academy. Li-Wei Chiu has directed many animated films and won numerous awards, including the 2011 China International Cartoon & Animation Festival, the 2012 Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival / Special Jury Award, the 2010 & 2012 &2015 Golden Bell Awards / Best Animation Program, Digital Content Product / Best Animation Program, the 41th Golden Horse Award for Best Visual Effects, the 44th Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film, the 54th Golden Horse Award for Best Animation Feature film/Official Nomination, the 2003、2008 Golden Harvest Award for Best Animated Film, the 2017 Depth of Field International Film Festival for Best of show, the 50th Annual WorldFest-Houston for Golden Remi Award, the 2017 Amsterdam Film Festival for Best Animation, the 2017 San Diego International Kid's Film Festival for Best Animation Feature Film, 2017 Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival for Official Selection. Moreover, his image installation arts are exhibited in National Art Museum of China in Beijing and Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts in New York.

Neil Xie

China  |  Base FX Vice President


Vice President of CPPA (China Post Production Alliance)
In late 2003, Neil stepped into the VFX business and assisted Chris Bremble in founding Base FX as one of the core leaders, turning a small team of 12 people into the largest in China and the top VFX and animation company across Asia. Neil also played an active role in the founding of CPPA, spending rigorous efforts to promote healthy development and resource integration of the industry.
